On Sunday, the US president Donald Trump and the Indian PM Narendra Modi shared together a stage at Houston’s NRG stadium where they praised each other. The rally, titled ‘Howdy Modi’ was attended by over 50,000 people. This is quite rare for a foreign leader in America.

Trump said that this meeting is an historic event and he was often interrupted by the crowd with roars of approval during his speech. He rooted for the existing US-Indian relations and reached out to the audience which comprised of Indian Americans who heavily voted against his candidature during the elections as he said that you are proud Americans and America is proud to have you as you always uphold the American values and culture.

Modi kick started his speech by saying Howdy friends to the crowd. He said that he is impatient to help his country to reach new heights and become developed. He added that development is the new buzz word in India. It was the first time that PM Modi got a chance to address such a large crowd on foreign soil.

This event will be followed by an International Meeting in United Nations General Assembly over the heated Kashmir issue which has led to a time of stress in the subcontinent. This is due to PM Modi’s decision to remove all the privileges given to the state of Kashmir which is claimed by both Pakistan and India. Pakistan has said that this act will bring more and more Muslims to extremism.

Members from Muslim and Sikh minorities planned to hold protests outside the venue where PM Modi was supposed to give a speech. Trump and Modi appear to have a great personal bonding.
